Daniel Barlow is a writer and reporter living in Montpelier, Vt.

In 2006, he co-founded the Trees & Hills comics group with New Hampshire cartoonist Colin Tedford. Dedicated to uniting and promoting cartoonists and comic creators in Vermont, New Hampshire and western Massachusetts, Trees & Hills has published five anthologies of comics and appeared at dozens of comic conventions in the Northeast.

Barlow is the co-editor of seven Trees & Hills comics anthologies, including SEEDS, the group's latest, which was released in late 2008 and is now in its third printing. In 2009, Barlow formed a second comic group - Offshore Comix - that focuses on comics for adults.

As a comic writer, Barlow has worked with Matthew Reidsma, Megan Baehr, Cayetano Garza Jr., Charles Schneeflock Snow, Colin Tedford, Tim Hulsizer and Bill Couture. Several of his comics, including his first, $ELL OUTS, are co-written with Keith Moriarty.

When he is not writing or publishing comics, Barlow works as an award-winning political reporter for two family-owned newspapers in Vermont. He also writes and blogs about life in the Green Mountain State.

Barlow is also a musician and records under the band moniker, Berlin Equals Boys, and released his first digital album in late 2009. He is also a member of the experimental electronic-rock band Space Panic!
