Free comic! Tim Hulsizer and I worked on a story called HOME this year for the Trees & Hills anthology, SHELTER. Do to some time constraints, the story wasn't finished in time ( Colin Tedford stepped in and illustrated the script in a marathan all-night session three days before the comic came out and I'm forever grateful to him for it. Buy the comic and check it out). Well, Tim has posted the entire five-page comic - his version. Beautiful work and I'm glad it's finally out there. It's a little... Continue reading ...

By DANIEL BARLOW Vermont Press Bureau Published: March 6, 2009
EAST MONTPELIER – The fictional world of "Watchmen"– set in a 1985 where Richard Nixon is still president and the threat of nuclear war looms over the United States – doesn't have much in common with the idyllic, laid-back Vermont.
But the writer of that comic, which sees its film version debut nationally today, enjoyed a special working relationship with two Vermont comic artists for years – Stephen R. Bissette of W... Continue reading ...

The comic anthology, "I Saw You" has been reviewed by the New York Times.
And editor Julia Wertz will be on National Public Radio sometime Friday talking about it.
I'm STILL waiting to see a copy of this book ... but, yes, I'm in there with a wonderful story of a Burlington romance from the mid-1980s. It's illustrated by the amazing talent that is Megan Baehr. Continue reading ...

A little help here?), but included in this nearly 200-page collection of comics inspired by missed connection ads is "Love, Rod" a four-page comic that I wrote and Megan Baehr drew. I really like the comic ... it may still be my favorite that I've worked on.
The book can be purchased here or ordered through your local bookstore. It also includes comics by J... Continue reading ...
